Monarch Bridge

Thsi lovely bridge was built near Alderville Ontario Canada. Many monarch butterflies landed on the stonework during construction, hence the name. It was completed in three weeks by John Shaw-Rimmington,Danny Woodword and Mark Lewis from the group Dry Stone Walling across Canada.

Jubilee Cairn at Balmoral

This Cairn was built by Willian Crooks Cassidy and myself during the summer of 2012. Almost 17 feet high it was unveiled by The Queen on the 8th August. Around 200 people attended the ceremony , when they were thanked by Her Majesty for contributing to the construction. They were Warrant holders from Scotland and current and past employees at Balmoral.
The plaque was engraved by Gillian Forbes of Perth . The round flat grinding stone was donated by Duncan Haddow , while the white granite crown was found on the Balmoral estate.
