Old Buildings

This is all that is left of an ancient dry stone house in Glen Artney Perthshire Scotland. It would appear that the farm was rebuilt in a more sheltered site behind me in the photo. This in turn has been deserted but the signs were that the more recent mortared house had been abandoned around the 1940s.

The Gathering at Milton Eonan

The first picture shows the patch of ground at Milton which we planned to recreate into a garden in what was a highland township in the past. 20 to 30 good folk from wee kids to mature adults spent a couple of days working together. The second photo shows the operation in full swing.

Dyking (Walling) in Deeside

Here an old drinking trough has been converted into a mounting place . Behind you can see a typical strictly coursed and dressed Deeside granite wall.

Minature Standing stone Circle

This group of standing stones appeared recently in a garden near me. Interesting that folk living in a modern estate still feel the link with the past.

Nature Takes Over

My daughter Blanche took this photo of an old building at the foot of her garden. I am just back from the Chelsea Flower Show and feel sure an exhibit like that would have won a medal.
